If the scanner isn't working, here are the steps to resolve it depending on the type of error.
1. Camera won't open: Make sure the browser has permission to use the camera. On iPhone: Settings → Safari → Camera → Allow. On Android: Settings → Chrome → Permissions → Camera. Then reload the scanner page.
2. "Invalid QR" or doesn't recognize the card: Make sure the customer is showing the QR from their loyalty card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, not a screenshot. Screenshots sometimes can't be read correctly.
3. Session expired or asks to log in again: This is normal after several hours of inactivity. Close the browser completely, reopen it, and log back into the scanner link with your scanner username and password — these are different from the Dashboard owner login.
