To ensure fast, error-free scanning in your loyalty program, follow these recommendations based on your service type.

By service type

Counter service (cashier or bar): Use an iPad or fixed tablet. A USB QR reader is also an excellent option for very high volume. The scanner stays open on the screen and staff process transactions one after another.

Table service: Use a smartphone. The waiter carries the phone, scans the customer's card at the table, and the transaction is done in seconds. No need to bring the customer to the counter.

Delivery: Consider including the QR poster in bags. Customers can scan to earn points on their delivery order. Process the transaction manually from the Dashboard using the customer lookup.

Device recommendations

  • Any phone or tablet with a browser and camera works

  • Install the scanner to the home screen for app-like access

  • Keep the screen awake during service hours

  • Use Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android for best camera compatibility

Avoiding common errors

  • Make sure camera permissions are enabled in the browser

  • The customer must show the QR from their Wallet app, not a screenshot

  • If the session expires, re-enter credentials — this is normal after inactivity

  • For very dark environments, increase screen brightness on the customer's phone
