How to use the scanner to add points and redeem rewards

Learn how to quickly and easily use the Welcome Back scanner.

The scanner is the app your staff use to process loyalty transactions at the point of sale. Here's how to use it step by step.

How to access the scanner

Open app.welcomeback.io in your phone's browser. Log in with the scanner username and password created by the business owner. These are different from the Dashboard owner credentials.

Adding points

  1. Tap Scan and point the camera at the customer's QR code (Apple Wallet or Google Wallet).

  2. The customer profile loads: name, current balance, and available rewards.

  3. Enter the purchase amount (if required) and tap Confirm.

  4. Points are credited instantly and the customer's card updates in real time.

Redeeming a reward

  1. Scan the customer's QR code as usual.

  2. If they have an unlocked reward, tap Redeem Reward.

  3. Confirm the redemption — this action is irreversible.

  4. The system deducts the points and marks the reward as used.

Manual lookup

If the camera isn't available, search for the customer by name or phone number from the scanner's main screen.
