When creating a scanner, there is a Forced Points option. This automatically awards a fixed number of points when a customer's QR is scanned — without the cashier needing to enter any transaction amount. It's ideal for high-volume operations like peak hours.
How to configure forced points
Go to Locations → your location → Staff.
Open the scanner you want to configure and click Edit.
Enable the Forced Points option and enter the fixed number of points to award per scan.
Save.
How it works in practice
When the cashier scans a customer's QR with forced points active, the system automatically awards the configured number of points without any additional input. The flow is: scan → done. This minimizes friction at busy checkout times.
Important behavior
If the customer already has an unlocked reward, forced points are skipped and the scanner shows the reward to redeem instead.
If the customer has reached their maximum points, the transaction is still recorded but no points are added.
The estimated order value configured for the scanner is used for revenue tracking purposes.
