Email marketing campaigns are the actual content your customers will receive. In Welcome Back, you can design campaigns for different purposes, whether they are:

  • Recurring campaigns (such as a weekly newsletter or happy hour announcements)

  • Event campaigns (such as Valentine Day promotions)

  • Goal-based campaigns (such as retargeting campaigns to win back customers who have not visited your business in a while)

Follow these steps to design and set up your campaign from scratch:

  1. Start a new campaign: To begin, go to the email module, specifically to the campaigns section. There, click the button to create a campaign.

  2. Design on the canvas: When creating a campaign, you will see a blank canvas. Here you can add and organize the different components of your email. You can change the canvas theme by adjusting text fonts and background colors. The canvas is flexible - you can move and reorder components freely.

  3. Add components to the canvas: Build your email by dragging the components you need from the left sidebar onto the canvas. Available elements are:

    1. Headings: For headers and main sections of your message

    2. Text: Paragraph blocks for the body of your communication

    3. Images: Visual content to reinforce your message

    4. Buttons: Call-to-action (CTA) elements to direct your customers

    5. Divider: Horizontal lines to visually separate sections

    6. Spacer: White space to improve readability

    7. Footer: Your business information, address, and social media links

  4. Customize your content: When you select any component on the canvas, its customization options will appear in the right sidebar:

    General options (all components):

    • Padding: Adjust the internal space at the top, bottom, left, and right

    • Alignment: Center, align left, or align right according to your design

    Headings and Text:

    • Edit content directly

    • Change font, size, and color

    • Apply formatting: bold, italic, underline

    Buttons:

    • Button text: Change the message to an action-oriented one (e.g., Reserve your table, View the menu)

    • Destination URL: Enter the link where you will redirect the customer upon clicking

    • Style: Adjust the shape (rectangular or pill), size, alignment, and color

    Images:

    • Upload images from your computer

    • Adjust width and height to control size

    • Add a link to the image to make it clickable

    Footer:

    • Include your business name, physical address, and/or slogan

    • Add links to your social media by entering the URLs in the corresponding fields

  5. Best practices and review: Before finalizing, keep these tips in mind to ensure your campaign success:

    1. Importance of text: It is extremely important that your emails include text and are not just images. The more text in the email body, the easier it will be to reach the customer main inbox and avoid spam.

    2. Preview: Always check how your design will look on both a computer and a mobile phone to ensure an optimal experience across all devices.

    3. Templates: If you are satisfied with your design, you can save it as a template to reuse in future sends.

  6. Save: Once your email is ready, save it as a draft. This will leave the campaign ready to be sent later.

  7. Schedule your campaign: When you save your campaign, the Send Time panel will appear. Here you can decide when your email will be sent:

    • Send now: The email will be sent immediately to your customers.

    • Schedule for later: Choose a specific date and time. Select the day on the calendar, adjust the time using the clock selector, and confirm the timezone (default: Santiago, GMT-3).

  8. The campaign calendar: In the campaigns section, you will find a calendar view showing all your campaigns organized by send date. Each campaign appears with a color based on its status:

    • Gray: Draft - the campaign has not been scheduled yet

    • Orange: Scheduled - the campaign is ready and waiting for its send date

    • Purple: Sending - the send is in progress

    • Green: Sent - the campaign was successfully delivered

    • Red: Failed - there was a problem during sending

    • Yellow: Cancelled - the campaign was cancelled before sending
